Like the regular production Belicosos Finos, the cigar measures 5 1/2 (140mm) inches long with a 52 ring gauge and a belicoso head. However, as a cigar bearing the Reserva band, it uses some highly curated tobacco, specifically leaves that come from the 2016 harvest of tobacco grown in the Vuelta Abajo region of the Pinar del Río region.
The Reserva series debuted in 2003, and all releases use tobacco that has been aged for at least three years. There is also a Gran Reserva Series, which debuted in 2009 and uses tobacco from a single crop year that has been aged for at least five years.
The Bolivar Belicosos Finos Reserva Cosecha 2016 Cigar is the most recent Reserva release to hit the market in 2021. Unveiled by Habanos S.A. during the XXII Festival Del Habano with a grand event at the Club Habana in Havana, Cuba, this stunning Cuban Cigar is finally available for sale on our website. This Reserva most certainly won’t disappoint. All of the leaves that made their way into these cigars have been carefully selected for their exceptional qualities, amongst the 2016 harvest, and aged for a minimum of three years.
The Belicosos Finos Reserva features the iconic Campana vitola – measuring 140mm in length by 52 ring. These cigars should offer less strength and earthy notes than its non-reserva equivalent, yet more gentle and refined flavour notes.
